Bio

Gregory Antonetti was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He started to study music at nine years old. From 1985 to 1987, he simultaneously studied at the Juan Josè Landaeta Conservatory (music theory, harmony and organ) and at the school “Ars Nova” of Caracas (Analysis, Arrangement, Traditional Harmony and Jazz Harmony) conducted by professor Marìa Eugenia Atilano (graduated from Berklee College of Music, Boston,USA). Throughout these years, he reached the Third Position at the Organ Latin American Festival ELECTONE for two consecutive editions –Buenos Aires, 1985 and Mexico, 1986.


In 1987, he studied at the Academic College "Piotr Ilich Tchaicovsky" (Moscow, Russian Federation) He graduated as Bachelor of Music Education (1994). In Moscow, he received recognition for his work as arranger in the College "P.I. Tchaicovski" (Rachmaninov Concert Hall, Moscow 1990). He participated in Latin American Music Concert "Tribute to the Goodwill Games" (Chapel of St. Petersburg).


In Venezuela, he is the principal pianist on the Wind Chamber Orchestra in the Venezuelan National Armed Force (FAN). Thanks to his versatility as piano player, arranger, producer and music director he has participated in jazz bands, and has worked for national and international symphonic orchestras, theatre, cinema, radio and television, and has produced CDs for different artists. Throughout  his career, he has accompanied with the keyboards and piano different national artists such as Soledad Bravo, Toña Granados, María Teresa Chacín, Kiara, Los Hermanos Rodríguez (Rodríguez Brothers),  as well as different international artists like José Luis Rodríguez, El Puma; Chucho Avellanet and Gilberto Santa Rosa.
